About

Jane Estes, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), received a Master of Social Work from UA Arkansas at Little Rock and a BA in Social Work from Harding University.  As a mental health therapist, Jane worked with patients of all ages with chronic and severe mental illness in inpatient units, outpatient units and in schools.  In March 2024, she was recognized for her past contributions to the Arkansas National Association of Social Workers where she was an inaugural member of their Leadership Academy and past Arkansas NASW Central Branch Board Representative.

In 2008 Jane left her clinical work to address chronic health issues and shifted her focus to volunteer work which corresponded with flexibility for her treatment and recovery. In recent years Jane has focused on recovering from the effects of chronic toxic mold poisoning.  She is using her knowledge gained while recovering to develop educational materials and workshops to address the effects of chronic toxic mold exposure.

Over the years she has served on the boards of the Arkansas Homeless Coalition, Arkansas WAND (Women’s Actions for New Directions), Arkansas Coalition for Peace and Justice (ACPJ) and Arkansas Peace Week.  Jane and her husband Bob Estes were honored as ACPJ’s Peacemakers of the Year in 2017.
